On Monday 11th November, we marked Armistice Day. In class we reminded ourselves of why we mark this special day; remembering all the fallen and injured soldiers from wars past and present. We honoured the 2 minutes silence at 11am and took part in an art workshop with The Art Room where we made our own paper and painted poppies on it, which are a symbol of remembrance for those who have lost their lives in the wars. Nick Biggar from the Denby Dale and Clayton West Methodist circuit, led our whole school worship on Remembrance.
